Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani Peruvian Muay Thai fighter and mixed martial artist who currently competing with the UFC flyweight division. Valentina Shevchenko, who is a former UFC Flyweight title holder as well as UFC fellow fighter is her elder sister. Antonina Shevchenko's combat sport career started out with her debut as an Muay Thai fighter. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title and then defeated Suzane Mller with a majority vote. Antonina won a medal of silver in 2007 followed by she also won a bronze medal in 2008, and a gold medal with gold in 2011. Antonina was also named IFMA World Amateur Muay Thailand Champion of 2016 by IFMA. Antonia's professional career began in 2003. She won in 2012 the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship and in 2016 the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016 the WMC World Championships. Antonina was a part of Isa TIDBLAD Keskikangas's fight last at Phoenix Fighting Championship. She was able to win with a majority. Antonina Schevchenko set professional MMA records in 2002, when she fought Anara Bazanova in the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan. She took the title via TKO at the end of round 2, and went on to win her 2 subsequent fights in the WXF X-Impact World Championships of 2003. She was awarded a 3-0 MMA record. Shevchenko had a brief time off from MMA and focused on her kickboxing. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 with Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko beat Anissa by a unanimous vote and then defeated Valerie Domergue at Phoenix FC 4. In 2018, she resigned from the tournament and started competing in Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera as part of Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series. Antonina's formidable strike abilities enabled her to TKO Nievera via knees in the back of her. Antonina took the UFC deal following her win. Antonina was given a UFC contract following her victory. Shevchenko beat Roxanne Modafferi in a split-decision fight, after prevailing in the initial fight via unanimity. Antonina recovered from this loss by defeating Lucie Pudilova on UFC on ESPN Covington against Lawler through rear-naked-choke submission. She was awarded the prize of fight-of-the-night. Shevchenko won her first three bouts, but lost her next three fights to Katlyn Cahookagian, Andrea Lee and Ariane Lipski. Antonina is currently being defeated by Casey O'Neill in UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
